Lighting Cost of Ownership Calculator | |
Welcome to the Cost of Ownership Calculator, you can use this tool to determine the true cost of powering and replacing the lamps in your building.
1. Set your electricity cost, working day and week in the boxes. Also enter how much it costs to change each lamp, even if you do these yourself there is still a cost involved as you could be using that time for something else.
2. Use the tabs to find and select the lamps you currently have. Use the lamp choice options to change the way the calculator selects the replacement. For instance you may use a dimmer, or the lamp may be difficult (or expensive) to replace so you want maximum life.
3. Enter the number of these lamps you want to replace, leave as 1 for a per lamp saving and what you pay for them, leave blank if you don’t know.
4. Press 'Add', savings are automatically calculated.
You can change how long each lamp is used for, by using the Usage Drop Down Lists, if you do this, or delete any lamps, press ‘Re-Calculate’ to update your savings.
Note: All savings are per year.
